Greg joined Tarpley & Underwood in 2007 with over eight years of audit experience. As an audit manager, his primary responsibilities are to oversee audits, reviews, compilations and financial reporting engagements, such as agreed-upon procedures. Another function of Greg’s role is to ensure that firm and professional standards are met during these engagements. His industry focuses have been manufacturing, distributing, construction, non-profit organizations and governmental agencies.
Most recently, Greg worked for Grant Thornton in their audit department where he was the supervisor of various engagements. There, he led these projects from the initial planning and fieldwork stages to client and management relations. Prior to Grant Thornton, he began his accounting career with Brookes, Holmes, Williams & Cook where he was responsible for various audits functions as well as corporate tax returns.
Greg graduated from Kennesaw State University in 1999. He participates in the firm’s recruiting events and is also an active member of the Georgia Society of CPA’s and the AICPA.
