Cheryl Yarbrough is now a part of the MGMA Governmental Affairs Committee.

As of June 2009, Cheryl Yarbrough is now a part of the MGMA Governmental Affairs Committee. They meet before the state legislature and participate in national legislation by means of contacting congressmen across the country. She and others are responsible for putting together an annual conference for MGMA Georgia on all the legal and governmental issues. For example, we attend legislative sessions in the Georgia Congress when in session if they are debating any health care issue, and we follow the white papers on the pending legislation at the national level. We also publish a tri-fod for “legislative advocacy resources” and “legislative talking points” when dealing with anyone in the medical community or congress.
